Wrenn Yennie Lindgren är Associerad medarbetare vid UIs Asienprogram och Associerad forskare vid Norsk Utrikespolitisk Institutt (NUPI). Hon specialiserar sig på östasiatiska internationella relationer, japansk politik och utrikespolitik, asiatiska länders artiska intresse samt traditionella och icke-traditionella säkerhetsfrågor inom Asien-Stillahavsområdet. Nuvarande forskning fokuserar på ´political power repertoires`.

Wrenn Yennie Lindgren doktorerar i Internationella Relationer vid Stockholms Universitet och har en masterexamen i International Policy Studies vid Monterey Institute of International Studies samt i Asia and Middle East Studies vid Universitet i Oslo. Hon har också studerat på Waseda University's Graduate School of Asia Pacific Studies (GSAPS) i Tokyo. Wrenn Yennie Lindgren har tidigare forskat vid Centre for Asian Security Studies vid Institutt for Forsvarsstudier (IFS) Norge, United Nations University i Tokyo, amerikanska ambassaden i Tokyo samt  James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies i Monterey, Kalifornien.
