This report examines the emergence and transformation of the United States’ Board of Peace, tracing its evolution from a UN-mandated oversight mechanism into a political initiative with far broader ambitions. Drawing on statements made by President Donald Trump at the World Economic Forum in Davos, it shows how the Board has moved beyond its original purpose of overseeing the Gaza ceasefire to challenge established multilateral structures. Rather than reinforcing the UN-led order, the initiative increasingly appears to advance an alternative vision of global governance.
