Russian Foreign Policy and the European Security Order
On April 21, UI’s Russia and Eurasia Programme arranged a seminar with Konstantin Kosachev, Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
Konstantin Kosachev is Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. In 1999, he was elected a member of the State Duma. From 2003 to 2011, Mr. Kosachev was Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs. From 2012 to 2014, he was Head of the Federal Agency for Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Expatriates, and International Humanitarian Cooperation.
Mr. Kosachev graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and holds a Ph.D. degree in Law. Mr. Kosachev has served as first secretary of the Russian embassy in Sweden.
