Hugo von Essen is an analyst at the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS)
Hugo has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Uppsala University, and has also studied Russian, psychology, history of ideas, and law at Uppsala University, Stockholm University, and Saint Petersburg State University. Hugo has previously done an internship at the Department for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and worked at the OSCE Task Force, at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
