Helmi Rantala is an Analyst in the Arctic and High North Programme
Helmi’s research focuses on Arctic defence policy, Nordic cooperation and resilience. She is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki, where her thesis concerns Sámi-military relations in Northern Finland. Helmi holds a master´s degree in world politics from the University of Helsinki.
Prior to working at UI, Helmi worked at the Canadian Embassies in Stockholm and Helsinki.
