Nicholas Aylott is a former head of the institute’s Europe Programme and is now an Associate Research Fellow within the programme. His research is in the field of comparative European politics, with focus on the institutions of representative democracy, especially political parties.
Nicholas is also associate professor of political science at Södertörn University in Stockholm, where he serves on the steering group of the Centre for the Study of Political Organisation. He has previously worked at Umeå University, Sweden, and Keele University, England.
