Welcome to sceeus.se and kinacentrum.se!

The Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS) and the Swedish National China Centre at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI) are now launching their new websites: sceeus.se and kinacentrum.se. In connection to this, the two centres are also launching their new visual identities.

– Relations with Russia and other Eastern European countries are critical to Swedish foreign and security policy. A regional competence in Sweden is also justified in the light of Europe's deteriorating security situation and the resulting need for a better understanding of the region. SCEEUS new digital platform is an important tool for us to reach our target groups, both in Sweden and internationally, says Fredrik Löjdquist, Centre Director of the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies.

The Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies and the Swedish National China Centre were established at UI in 2021. NKK conducts policy-relevant research, analysis, and offers advice on China-related topics. SCEEUS conducts policy-relevant analysis on Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. Both centres aim to increase general knowledge about their respective focus regions in Sweden.

– China’s role in the world is becoming increasingly important. The centre is still in its early stages of development, so this step is incredibly important for the continued work of providing the Swedish government, authorities, and society with broad and deep knowledge of China, says Björn Jerdén, Centre Director of the Swedish National China Centre.

The centres’ websites and visual identities have been developed in collaboration with the web agency The Generation.
