Stefan Borg is since January 2013 conducting a research project on how the so-called "Arab Spring" has been represented in different parts of the world and in different academic discourses. His research interests include IR theory, European integration theory, and the critical study of discursive representations.
Stefan Borg defended his doctoral dissertation in Political Science in 2012 at the School of Politics and Global Studies, Arizona State University. His dissertation work concerned the discourse on European integration in relation to the discourse on the modern state. Since 2012, Borg has been teaching International Relations at Södertörn University College and Stockholm University.
Borg did previous undergraduate and graduate work at the London School of Economics and Political Science (BSc International Relations 2002 and MSc European Politics and Governance 2006), and Uppsala University (Pol mag 2006).
